Jag Adopted! |
 |
 |
| Jag – this handsome boy is a 6 year
old Great Dane that we rescued when his family moved into an
apartment. Jag is in a foster home with cats and the cats are not
happy about it. We need to find Jag a new, loving home where he can
lounge around, take daily walks and be someone’s best bud. Someone
with Great Dane experience would be best. Jag gets along with other
dogs. He loves meeting new people and he is good around children.
Please submit an online application if you are interested in
adopting Jag. Neutered, shots, microchip - $150 Adoption fee. |

Update 6-10: Please help Jag!
Last month I was contacted by a previous adopter who
knew of someone who was leaving his home and not taking his 6 yr.
old Great Dane, Jag. No other Rescues had returned her call and I
made the decision to take Jag into our Rescue and find him a new
home and family. He went into a foster home with Erin and Geoff
Berger who reported other than the cats being unhappy, Jag is a
wonderful, sweet docile boy. Jag loves to talk walks, snooze and
play with his buddies at the dog park.
On June 3 Jag began to throw up foam and the Bergers became mildly
concerned. Unable to reach me immediately, they chose to take him
to their vet. Their decisive action absolutely saved Jag's life
because once an x-ray was taken it was discovered that Jag's stomach
was turning (bloat) and he needed emergency care. They quickly took
him to the Veterinary Referral Center where he received immediate
care and surgery. In the early hours of the next morning Erin
learned that Jag had done well during
surgery and was resting comfortably. Jag will make a complete
recovery and the Bergers have committed to fostering him until we
find him a forever home. However, the vet bills have depleted the
Sin City Rescue funds, and a balance of $3,600 remains which has to
be paid. We put our St. Bernard Rescue in jeopardy by going off
breed and having this happen. Jag, like
so many other dogs, was worth saving...first, when we took him into
our Rescue and second when he underwent the surgery for bloat. But
the reality is that he is not a St. Bernard and now we are faced
with paying off this unexpected vet bill.
Please help us Save Our Saints by donating to Jag's vet bill. You
can use Paypal on our website
www.sincitysaintrescue.org Please put
Jag in the subject line and all donations will go directly to his
bill. Thank you.
Update 7-8: We are
happy to report that Jag was officially adopted by his foster
parents, Erin and Geoff Berger. Donations are still needed to help
pay his vet bill. We know times are tough right now – any donation,
large or small will be most appreciated so we can pay off his
balance. Thank you! |
